Minister Awad receives credential letters from the French and Germany Ambassadors

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr Ahmed Ismail Awad has today received the credential letters of the new ambassadors from France to Somalia Mrs Aline Kuster-enager and Ms Annett Günther from Germany.

Mr Awad praised the newly appointed ambassadors and hopes that they will improve the relations between Somalia and their two countries.

France’s ambassador to Somalia, Aline Kuster-Menager, and Ms Annett Günther from Germany have expressed their gratitude for the way they were welcomed and expressed their affection and emphasised that it would be a tremendous effort to improve the friendship between Somalia Germany and France to a very high level.

During the ceremony, they discussed bilateral relations and the cooperation between the Federal Republic of Somalia and the French and the German Republic and further promote the relations that exist between the countries.

France and Germany’s effort and support in Somalia is mainly channelled through the United Nations and the European Union.
