Ministry of Information releases two media outlets

The Ministry of Information of the Federal Government of Somalia has rescinded two media outlets which had previously suspended the ministry from its work in the country.

The Director-General of the Somali Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism Mr Abdirahman Yusuf Adal explained how these agencies could be allowed to work again as they had been suspended.

“On 20-11-2019, the Ministry has re-authorized two media organizations Media INK and Perspective Media to work with media and communication.”

The ministry suspended it on the 12th of January after failing to follow the Ministry’s guidelines for all agencies working on issues of awareness, media and communication to ensure that they are all in line with the Somalia media development policy approved by the Cabinet in 2015,” said Justice

Director-General of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Government of Somalia Abdirahman Yusuf Justice underlined that the two organizations meet requirements needed and led again be allowed to operate in the country.

“The two institutions have fully complied with all the requirements and the Ministry has allowed them to do their job and work in media development and awareness, I am speaking on behalf of the Minister, the Deputy Minister and the General .”We want to thank the countries and institutions that work with the media and the good work they do in the country and their support for the ministry’s work,”

Mr Abdirahman Adal, the Director-General of the Ministry of Information, said the ministry is also encouraging that awareness agencies to follow the Ministry’s guidelines set out in the Cabinet, to maintain order and order, and that everything should be within the law of the country.
