Mortar Shells Land on Somali Presidential Palace

Several mortar shells were fired at areas around Somalia presidential palace on Thursday.
Some of the shells landed near Djiboutian embassy in the palace thought no still confirmed.
.The credit for the shelling was claimed by Al Shabaab who normally targets government officials and foreigners in planned assassinations and military-style ambushes, largely in Mogadishu.
“We attacked the palace with mortar shells today. Several landed inside the palace,” Al-Shabaab’s military operation spokesperson Abdiaziz Abu Mus’ab told Reuters.
The spokesman of ministry for national security Mohamed Yussuf whom Goobjoog has contacted to, said investigations are underway and casualties are not clearly confirmed according office officials.
