Motor car drivers protest over Mogadishu roadblocks

There is a heavy protest movement around the KM4 junction in the capital Mogadishu where the Moto car drivers in the region are protesting about the roadblocks in the capital for the last days.

Security forces at the scene disagreed with the protest of the Moto drivers but apparently the drivers refused to vacate the junction until their complaints are solved.

Some of the motor car drivers who spoke to Goobjoog News said “they were complaining about the heavy roadblocks in the city, claiming that the order of the President’s office to open the roadblocks two days ago was not fulfilled. The security soldiers open the roadblocks in the morning and close up in the afternoon.”

Ali Mohamed, one of Chad’s drivers, says “We are struggling to pay taxes of $ 18 and now we cannot work because of the main roads in the town are blocked and we need to talk to the leaders to do something about the roadblocks.”

President Farmajo ordered two days ago that the main roads in the city should be opened for the people to use.
