Newly elected MP dies in Nairobi after short illness

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: A Jubaland member of the upcoming Somalia’s Federal parliament has died in Nairobi.Mohamud Mohamed Kulow, who was elected last month in Kismayo, died after a short illness, his family confirmed.

President Madobe sent his condolences to the departed lawmaker, saying that Jubaland had lost a resourceful person, who played a great role in the Jubaland government.

“Mohamud Muhumed Kulow, is widely remembered for his role in the important work of the Jubaland government in various sectors, especially in social affairs where he was prominent. I send my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, and I pray to God to give him water in paradise,” said the Jubaland Head of State.

Mohamed won the HOP079 seat after he received 74 votes in parliamentary elections held in the port city of Kismayo in February.
