November 04, 2015: suspected Iranian fishing boat, which is believed to have been in illegal fishing around Puntland coastal areas, had run aground in Alula district of Gardafuul province of Puntland.

Alula district authority told media outlets that the fishing boat broke down following a 48-hour draught that hit areas of Puntland overlooking the coast.

November 09, 2015: Puntland assembly elected Ahmed Ali Hashi as its new speaker in Garowe.

November 15, 2015: Details emerged from an ambulance that came under attack while transporting wounded to a hospital in the north of Galkayo.

It’s been reported the ambulance has been ambushed by armed men who finished off four wounded people onboard the vehicle and wounded five others, sources told Goobjoog news.

November 18, 2015: Puntland president Abdulwali Mohamed Ali Gas met UN envoy for Somalia, Nicholas Kay in Garowe.

In a press conference after the meeting, President Gas and Kay told reporters they focused in their discussion on proposed electoral models for 2016.

President Gas also noted that they discussed New Deal for Somalia in 2016, commending Ambassador Kay’s achievements since he was appointed as the UN Special Envoy for Somalia.

November 22, 2015: Puntland President Dr Abdulwali Momahed Ali Gas appointed the director general for Puntland’s agency for Social Welfare in a decree released from his office.

Ahmed Mohammad Muse (Dhafuuje), the new director for Puntland’s Agency for Social Welfare, is a Somali American who has spent most of his time overseas.

November 22, 2015: An armed clash between rival forces from Galmudug and Puntland is reported to have broken out in Galkayo. Reports of casualty indicate that 11 people were killed and 43 others wounded in the incident.

Director General of Galkayo hospital told reporters that the hospital received 43 wounded of whom 5 were children, another 5 were women and the remaining 33 were men.

November 23, 2015: Puntland Committees for National Consultative Forum who had been engaged in deliberations on electoral modules for 2016 in six sites in Puntland announced their finding.

The committee announced that the people of Puntland have unanimously agreed adopting District based electoral approach for social representation in the upcoming 2016 elections.

November 27, 2015: Puntland President Dr Gas received PM Omar Abdirashid and other delegates from the Federal Government and in Garowe

November 28, 2015: an armed conflict between forces from Galmudug and Puntland broke out in Galkayo. The fighting is reported to have taken place in a disputed area along the green line that divides; reports of casualties indicate the death of one person and wounding of 5 others

November 28, 2015: fighting is reported to have re-erupted again and reports of casualties seem to have increased.

Reports reaching Goobjoog news indicate the fighting has claimed the lives of at least 30 people and wounded more than 60 people all of which is believed to be from warring sides

November 28, 2015:  Puntland proclaimed in a communique that it accepted a 4-point peace plan proposed by PM Sharmarke which aim at defusing tensions in Galkayo.

November 29, 2015: a delegation led by PM Sharmare which included President Sharif Sh. Hassan and members of the federal cabinet arrived in Galkayo today where they were cordially received by the population

November 29, 2015: Puntland President Dr. Gas accused the federal government of Somalia of involvement in the conflict in Galkayo in joint press conference with Jubbaland President Ahmed Madobe in Garowe.

November 30, 2015: Puntalnd former president Abdurrahman Farole called on Somalia President Hassan Sh. Mohamoud to come to Galkayo to help resolve the crisis in the area.
