One killed, three injured after IED explodes in Deynille
GOOBJOOG NEWS|BANADIR: A government soldier has been killed and three other people have been injured, two of them civilians after an IED exploded in Mogadishu’s Deynile district on Wednesday morning, police have confirmed.
Witnesses said a landmine blast targeted a vehicle carrying Somali Federal Government troops as it passed between Deynile Road and the Sii-Sii intersection.
Government troops arrived at the scene of the blast and sealed off the area, promising to launch investigations into the morning incident.
Deynile has been the scene of a series of bombings targeting government officials, most of which are claimed by Al-Shabaab.
