One soldier dies and another sustain injuries in Bardhere clash

One Soldier confirmed dead and another one injured in Bardhere police station after clash with other soldiers who were allegedly trying to take away suspected Al-Shabab fighter held in the police cell.

Local resident near the police station said that several attacked the police station in the town on Monday morning, triggering a gunfight.

“The attack took place at around 9:50 a.m. when several soldiers engaged with police personnel after arriving by a car near the police station in the town,” the resident told Goobjoog News anonymously.

Security forces also arrived at the scene and they have cordoned off the area for precautionary measures, he said.
