Operations to Liberate Road Blocks Expected Soon Says Lower Shabelle Administration

The administration of Lower Shabelle region is starting operations to remove road blocks manned by Alshabab fighters.

The Commissioner of Afgooye Ibrahim Adan Najah who spoke to the media said the initial operation will be the road between Baraawe and Afgooye towns.

He requested from the public to support the security officers conducting the operations.

“The security officers will soon start wide operations to free barricaded feeding roads. We shall use force against Alshabab and the first one to be liberated is the road between Afgooye and Baraawe’ said Commissioner Najah.

Several roads in Middle and Lower Juba, Bay, Bakol, Lower Shabelle, and Hiran regions have been made inaccessible by Alshabab.
