Over seventy children hospitalized in Dhoobley after measles out break

At least 75 children are hospitalized after measles outbreak in Dhobley district and nearby areas in Lower Juba region.

The district commissioner of Dhoobley Qeex Mohamed Abdullahi told Goobjoog FM many patients reach the general hospital but the hospital is not treat due to acute shortage of medicine.

The administrations states that the number of people suffering from the disease is increasing day after day claiming that the people in the region did not received measles vaccination the last few years.

He called the interim administration of Juba in Southern Somalia, the federal government of Somalia and international aid agencies to deliver emergency relief to the hospital so as to save the lives of the children.
