Parliament set to Convene Today at the Villa Hargeisa

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The members of the 11th House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia will today hold their regular session at Villa Hargeisa.
It will be the first time parliament is convening since the election of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and members have been informed to attend the session which will start at 10:00 am.
According to House Speaker Aden Madobe, today’s agenda will focus on “reading the rules of procedure of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament.
It is expected that the Somali parliament will debate and review a number of laws that the previous parliament was unable to pass and speedtrack the entire process as the delay in elections led to parliament being behind schedule.
