PM Omar set to travel to Qardho after unsuccessful talks with Puntland and Jubbland

Somali Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid is due to reach his hometown Qardho where he is planned to meet the elders of city.

The Prime Minister seeks to get the support of one the most powerful traditional leaders in region to persuade Puntland president to accept Federal Government terms of ending tension between Galmudug State and Puntland after Puntland rejected to recognize Galmudug as legitimate Federal State.

It’s not yet clear which side elders back in standoff between Puntland and Federal Government however this is a sign of how far the affair went.

The negations are expected to be resumed after premier returns to Garowe after the Eid festival.
