PM Roble holds talks with FMS leaders over elections

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Mohamed Roble held talks with Federal Member State leaders Wednesday night following the cancellation of the Garowe meeting convened by the regional presidents locking out the PM.

According to a tweet from the Office of the Prime Minister, the two sides discussed the implementation of the electoral schedule. Federal Indirect Elections Team chairman Mohamed Irro also briefed the meeting on the electoral process.

The meeting is the first since the FMS leaders announced last week they would be meeting in Garowe on September 19. However, that meeting was cancelled after Galmudug president Ahmed Qoorqoor demanded the inclusion of the PM.
