Police arrest two Al-Shabaab suspects in Garowe

Two Al-Shabaab suspects were arrested Wednesday by security forces in Garowe after they attempted to sneak into the town on a vehicle transporting livestock.

Nugal police commandant Col. Farah Warsame told journalists the duo alighted from the vehicle to evade the police manning a junction near Garowe town.

“They dropped from the vehicle and went on foot towards the town but were arrested before they could enter the town. We also detained the vehicle and the driver,” said Warsame.

The vehicle was transporting goats to Bosaso from Galmudug.
