Politician Abdi Nure Siyad “I Am Not Part of Guri El War”

Abdi WalFormer warlord and politician Abdi Nure Siyad has came out strongly against suggestions that militias loyal to him are taking part in the Guri El Conflict between Ahlu Sunnah and government forces.

“I Am nor personally involved in the war, but I support Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamaca” Says Abdi who was speaking to Goobjoog.

He also accuses the government of spreading lies about him and also submitting false reports to foreign intelligence services so that he would be subjected to sanctions. “The international partners recognized my name; they simply dismissed it as false”.

He warned the government against using force against civilians; instead they should sit down with the people and negotiate according to him.

Abdi fled from Mogadishu last years after security forces raided his premises in an operation intended to disarm warlords in Mogadishu. Abdi accuses the government and the president of trying to kill him in the raids. He has since been staying in Guri El.
