President Bihi nominates seven electoral commissioners

GOOBJOOG NEWS|HARGEISA: Following the disbandment of the National Electoral Commission due to the resignation of its members, Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi, has submitted a list of seven new members to Parliament for approval.
The Somaliland President nominated three members, while the Senate and the opposition nominated two each.
Political tension has been building up in Somaliland for the past few weeks following calls by the opposition for nation-wide protests as Bihi has been accused of meddling in the electoral process and for seeking an extension of his term.
Below is the list of members nominated for approval to Parliament:
- Muse Hassan Yusuf
- Ahmed Osman Hassan
- Hussein Abdi Ali
- Ahmed Yusuf Mohamed
- Fadumo Ismail Abdi
- Abdiaziz Hirsi Warsame
- Ibrahim Adan Ali
