President Farmajo addressed on Tukuraq conflict And Somaliland talks

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo addressed the audience at the Banaadir Stadium today, where he celebrated the 58 anniversary of the independence of Somalia.

The President addressed a lot of issues in the country.

The president talked about the Tukaraq conflict between Somaliland and Puntland, calling on both sides to make peace and negotiate.

Farmajo said, “Somalia needs peace, no future fighting and violence, we would not accept more innocent young Somali boys to die in the Tukaraq war for nothing.”Said President Farmajo.

The president also talked about the relationship between the Somali Federal Government and Somaliland, saying his government is still ready to resume the talks with Somaliland.

“Somaliland’s are our brothers, a lot of hardships and difficulties may have divided us, but my government is ready to bring back the true and genuine dialogue, and ready to talk in any way we can get confident from our brothers and sisters because we are missing them out.”President Farmaajo said.
