President Hassan appoints new Governor for Middle Shabelle region

Somali president has fired Mr. Abdi Jiinow Alasow, the Governor of Middle Shabelle region.

The new governor  Ali Gudlaawe Hussein was appointed in a presidential decree to replace the former governor Mr. Alasow.

The former governor was appointed by Sharif Sheikh Ahmed 2011.

The reason behind the firing of the former governor is not clearly but the government says it is part of its plans to promote the development in the region.
