President Hassan meets Somali community in Minnesota.

The president of the republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with Somali community in Minnesota.

Thousands of Somali community living in Minnesota cordially welcomed president Hassan and his delegation in Minneapolis international airport.

The head of Diaspora community in US Fartuun Abdulle Mohamed told the media that their meeting with Somali president focused on wide range issues including security, humanitarian efforts and strengthening the unity of Somali people.

Fartun stated that president Hassan has given out full reports of government’s achievement over the last two years and the current situation of the country.

The president urged the Somali community members in the US to partake and contribute in the government’s efforts to restore peace and rebuild the nation.

He stated that his government is committed to organize free and fair elections in 2016 to go beyond the current situation of the country.

President Hassan and his delegation attended the first US-Africa summit held in Washington.
