President Trump Makes a Phone Call to Saudi King on Qatar Diplomatic Crisis

US President Trump reached his Saudi counterpart King Salman on a phone call discussing with him on GCC unity to fight terrorism in light of deepening crisis in Qatar.

Trump stressed on the importance of fighting terrorism and unity among Arab leaders. It is believed the US is constantly in touch with all the Arab countries involved in this crisis to resolve the issue and restore Arab unity.

On another separate juncture, State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert said US knows the great effort undertaken by Qatari government to stifle terrorism by prosecuting and freezing assets of alleged suspects.

US praised Qatar for their longstanding support of providing among others, commitment to regional stability and the largest US Military base in the Middle East.

On his earlier tweets, US President Donald Trump supported the excommunication act towards Qatar saying of his words influenced the Arab world.

Trump who wrote three messages on his Twitter page about his request from Arab leaders to cut off states that support terrorist organization financially during his recent trip to the Middle East.

He also spoke about his fruitful outcome in relation to his talks to the Islamic countries in Riyadh.

On Monday this week Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt cut ties with Qatari government. Air, land and sea blockades have also been imposed on Qatar nation.
