Prime Minister Kheyre: I am fully Aware of the Problems faced by Somali Women

The Prime Minister of Somalia Hassan Ali Kheyre said Somali women face multiple problems and encouraged them to do mobilization in unison to avert anything that can afflict them.

Women are the backbone of the society and very vulnerable to hardships used to occur in the past as they are a witness to it. As a result it is imperative women to become a torch bearer to carry out public awareness campaign to facilitate on how to make the community comprehend the importance of governance. The PM commented.

“We are fully aware of their problems starting foremost with rape and at times violation of their rightful of ownership. What is needed is mobilization from Somali women and to be ready to take part in development and peace” said PM Kheyre.

PM Kheyre pointed out the Somali women have crucial role in the rebuilding of the nation and the respect of the Somali people used to have. He expressed his gratitude on how women voluntarily saved the population during the civil war period.

The PM stated these remarks during a meeting he had with some of the Somali women in Mogadishu.
