Prime Minister Roble congratulates newly-elected President

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has sent his felicitations to Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on his election as the 10th President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

“I congratulate H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on being elected as the 10th President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. I commend the leadership of both Houses, parliamentary electoral committee, international partners and security agencies for an orderly and successful conclusion to the elections.”

“I hope that the President-elect will lead the country in a process that will ensure the country’s security, economic development, restore damaged political stability and stability, increase public services, improve the country’s foreign relations, draft the constitution, hold elections and other issues that are important to the country and the people of Somalia,” added a statement from Prime Minister Roble. 

The Prime Minister, who was instrumental in spearheading the electoral process including key election security arrangements also congratulated lawmakers for delivering the country from a prolonged election uncertainty and called on all Somalis to support the President in his endeavors.
