Prime Minister Roble holds talks with Turkish Ambassador to Somalia

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble on Sunday met with the Turkish Ambassador to Mogadishu Mehmet Yilmaz in his office. 

The meeting between Prime Minister Roble and the Turkish Ambassador discussed Somalia-Turkish relations and how to further strengthen the relations, Turkey’s development projects in Somalia and ways of addressing the severe drought that has ravaged several parts of the country.

The Turkish Ambassador to Somalia expressed his delight in meeting the Somali Prime Minister, adding that they had fruitful discussions in relation to the two countries.

“I am pleased to meet with HE Mohamed Hussein Roble, the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia. We had the opportunity to discuss drought relief, private sector investment in Turkey and other areas of cooperation,” said Mehmet.

Turkey is a strong and historic partner to Somalia, with both countries boasting of multifaceted bilateral relations, and cooperation in security.
