Puntland vows to fight corruption

The head of good governance agency of Puntland Mr. Abdirahman Gureye has told reporters that they are committed to fight corruption in the strongest possible way, as it would harm development in the regions.

“We want to eradicate corruption in Puntland, we are hopeful to achieve that, we also seek common understanding about the government’s plan to to fight corruption among all ministries and offices so that it would be very effective. Service delivery should take the first priority and the citizens should be satisfied” said Mr. Abdirahman.

His comments came in the backdrop of veiled warning to ministries by president Abdiwali Mohamed Ali Gas who said he would be ruthless in accountability and good governance.
