Qoor Qoor appoints new Galmudug governor

GOOBJOOG NEWS/DHUSAMAREB: Galmudug state president Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoor Qoor has appointed a new governor for Galmudug state.

Ahmed Hussein Shire (Bukhari) replaces Abdirahman Ali Diriye (Isxal), who has been Galmudug governor for the past several years.

A decree issued by the Office of the President of Galmudug instructed all Galmudug institutions to work with the new Governor to fulfill his duties.

The new appointment comes a day after the Galmudug President reinstated the Minister of Interior Abdi Waayeel, who was sacked in May last year on allegation of fueling clan conflict in the region.
