Rain Seeking Prayers Performed throughout Puntland towns

As devastating drought hits parts in Puntland due to delayed rainfalls and water shortages, Puntland holds region wide prayers for rain.

Deputy President of Puntland  Abdihakin Abdullah Haji Omar Amey along with government cabinet ministers and hundreds of residents have gathered in Bossaso for prayers for rain.

Addressing hundreds of residents in Bossaso after the prayers, the deputy President of Puntland Amey asked Allah to bestow his mercy on his people as this time of droughts.

Similarly, prayers for rain were held in many towns in Puntland including Garowe and Galkayo.

The government of Puntland Government said it has put up mechanism to reach out to people affected by the drought.
