Roadside bomb kills at least 3 Ethiopian soldiers in Bakol region

GOOBJOOG NEWS/BAIDOA: A roadside bomb targeting African Union peacekeepers in the southwestern Somalia region of Bakol on Wednesday, has led to the death of at least three Ethiopian soldiers.

Several other soldiers were wounded in the bomb attack which the Al-Qaeda-affiliated group Al-Shabaab, has claimed responsibility.

Local security officials have said that the roadside bomb explosion took place near a well in the town of Wajid in southwestern Somalia, which is frequently used by Ethiopian soldiers based in the area.

There is no official comment yet from Ethiopian military and AMISOM peacekeepers over the attack, one among several that the terror group has launched in recent days.
