Security sweep detains dozens in Mogadishu

Somali security forces backed by AMISOM troops have conducted massive security sweep in Mogadishu, arresting dozens of Al-Shabab Suspected people, according to security officials in the city.
The operations took place in several districts including Warta-Nabadda, Howlwadag districts.
The soldiers made house-to-house search operations in which several suspectedwere arrested.
Security ministry spokesman, Mohamed Yussuf Osman confirmed that the security forces apprehended several people who were suspected to be Al-Shabab members and that they will be brought before a court immediately the probes concluded.
“The security sweep which jointly carried out by Somali National Army soldiers, security forces, Somali police force supported by AMISOM troops have conducted operations intended to flush out insecurity creating elements” he said..
Finally he urged the public to collaborate with security forces and to tipoff all the details of those who are terrorising the security of the city.
