Senior Al-Shabaab prosecutor surrenders to SNA

GOOBJOOG NEWS|LOWER SHABELLE: A top Al-Shabaab chief, Mohamed Hassan Mo’alim aka Abu Ali, surrendered to the Somali National Armed Forces in Qoryoley town Friday night, officials said.

Qoryoley District Commissioner Sayid-Ali Ibrahim told state media that Mohamed Hassan Maalim, also known as Abu-Ali surrendered to the Somali forces in Qoryooley district in Lower Shabelle region out of his own volition.

The District Commissioner added that the surrender was facilitated by the Somali National Army troops in Qoryooley district.

Mohamed Hassan Maalim (Abu-Ali)  is said to have been in charge of prosecuting innocent civilians in Kuntuwarey and its environs.
