Serious Water Shortage Strikes Qoryooley Town

Reports from Lower Shabelle region indicate that severe water shortages in Qoryooley town is threatening the lives of many people mainly pastoralists.
Qoryooley district commissioner Mohamed Haji osman told Goobjoog FM that the situation in these areas is getting worse day after day due to acute water shortages adding that more people are in danger if immediate help is not delivered.
HE underlined that the shortage of water in the district is caused by prolonged drought and the dry up of water sources, wells and dams forcing the pastoral communities to flee their homes in search of water.
He called the federal government of Somalia and international aid agencies to deliver immediate support to Qoryooley residents
