Seven arrested for alleged plan to murder civilians in Mudug

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MUDUG: Galmudug State police have closed in on seven men accused of plotting to assassinate pastoralists in Dhagtur area in southern Mudug region and its environs.

An eight-day security operation in Mudug region, specifically Dhagtur area unearthed the group of seven accused of planning to kill innocent pastoralists.

Parents to the offenders of state were not spared either as security forces included them in the swoop for allegedly abetting crime.

Military officials who led the operation said that the suspects will be arraigned in a court of law, adding that the accused have been linked to a spate of killings of many other pastoralists in the area with the killings turning into a fully fledged war.
