Shortage of Medical Supplies at Balad Hawo Hospital

The main hospital in Balad Hawo district of Gedo is facing acute shortage of medical and other important supplies and health workers there appeal for help.

MP Musa Sheik Omar who is in the district for his parliamentary duty to visit his constituent has told Goobjoog that he saw many patients including women and children when he toured the hospital.

“The doctors told me that for 3 months, there were no any medical suppliers for this hospital, so I would appeal to the federal government to help” said the MP.

Lack of basic services throughout the country is order of the day in many parts of Somalia as the federal government and regional states are trying to stand on their feet. And for them to provide these services is a long way to go.
