Joint forces capture new areas in Hiran region

Federal government forces backed by AMISOM seized the control of new areas in Hiran region in a heavy security operations against Al-shabab.

The seized areas include Abesaale and Bulo Goosar localities west of Hiran region after heavy security operations against Al-shabab.

A spokesman for government forces in Hiran region said that they will intensify the operations against Al-shabab so as to maintain the overall security of the region.

These operations comes a time when the government has been making efforts to open up the blocked roads in the region.

Al-shabab fighters who withdrew from the captured areas have not yet given comment about the operations.
