SNA conduct military operation in Afgoye town

Somalia National Army forces have early Monday launched a military operation in Afgoye town of Lower Shabelle region Somalia.

Goobjoog News correspondent Muse Abbas reported that the forces are conducting foot patrol operation around the town in a bid to strengthen the security in Baidoa town.

The military officials leading the operation said that they are finding Al-Shabaab suspects within the town and have arrested so many young people during the operation.

The situation of the town now remains calm and all the daily activities of the town have started running back to normal.

Lower Shabelle which once used to be Al-Shabaab stronghold is an agricultural and strategic town located in the southwest of the Somali capital Mogadishu.
