Police officers suspected of killing army commandant arrested in Mogadishu

Somali police have arrested all officers at a roadblock located near the Nasa-Hablood Hotel following the killing of a senior military officer Friday.

Deputy Police Commissioner General Zakia Hussein said all the officers who were operating in the roadblock were arrested and will be investigated.

General Mohamed Abuukar Saleban the comnmander of the Gorgor brigade based in Awdheegle district was gunned down near the roadblock on Friday. Sources said the military man was heading to the hotel when fire erupted killing him.
