Somali armed chief closes training for hundred of Commandos

Chief of the Somali armed forces, Mohamed Ahmed Adan on Sunday wrapped up training for the four batch of new commandos trained in Mogadishu

Addressing the officers who have wrapped up the training, Adan applauded their commitment to serve their country, encouraging them to abide by the law.

“I congratulate you on your graduation of the training conducted here Mogadishu. Security is the core pillar of the country’s rebuilding and development. Hope you will contribute in the fight against the Al Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab group,” said Adan.

He said the forces have receive special training for fighting in the jungle and in the city,

“They can conduct any kind of operations in modern warfare, [including] guerrilla type.” Adan said.

Somali commandos have carried out several raids conducted in South and central somalia where they killed number of Al-Shabaab fighters and destroyed training camps.
