Somali ban international flight over coronavirus infection

Somali government recently announced the ban of international flights to and from the countries that has been temporarily canceled for coronavirus protection purposes.

Somali Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Salat Omaar announced the cancellation of international flights from 18-03 / 2020 due to Corona virus-infected persons found inside the country who was previously come from the countries badly affected by coronavirus infection.

This comes after Somali government health minister Fowsiyo Abikar Nur announced the first coronavirus case reported in the country.

“Today, on the 16th of March, we have confirmed the first case of Coronavirus infection as you know there are citizens from abroad who are kept at the airport to check on their health because they come from some countries affected by the infection. “We have only one person diagnosed with the disease,” the health minister said.
