Somali Federal MP warns district elections model

Adil Shegow Sagar, a Somali Federal MP calls the participants of National Consultative Forum in Mogadisu to respect the interest of the public saying that the only acceptable and inclusive model for the current time would be 4.5 clans based formula model.

“ As Somali Federa MPs, we have repeatedly talked and recommended that the only feasible way for 2016 elections is to adopt 4.5 clan based process.

“That model can be inclusive for all somali tribes”  he added.

A heated debate is underway between Federal states,Federal governement and civil society  on which model to be adopted for 2016 elections.
