Somali MP escapes murder attempt

Unknown gunmen have wounded a member of federal parliament at the front gate of his residential area at Taleeh viscidity.

Eye witness told the local media that men armed with pistols on board of a luxurious car attacked the MP and sprayed bullets before disapeearing.

The MP was immediately rushed to the hospitals in the capital for treatment as a member of federal parliament Khalif Mohamed Haji confirmed to the media.

Mr. Haji stated that the wounded MP, was the chief whip of Somalia’s federal parliament.
