Somali parliament to open offices in other parts of the country

Somali parliament is expecting to open offices in different parts of the country in a bid to in touch the public living in the regional states of the nation.

Deputy speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Mahad Abdalla Awad accompanied by Abdikariim Hajji Abdi Buuh, federal Parliament’s General Secretary has taken meeting with delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on the support of the agency and the progresses of Federal Parliament .

The meeting was also discussed on how to accelerate the work of parliament whose mandated term will expire after 9 months and how parliament would open offices in the country.

UNDP has been providing support to Somali federal parliament, including the training, the preparation of laws and the wage bill.
