Somali President Calls On SNA To Exercise Code Of Behaviour

Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has called on Somali national Army (SNA) to exercise the good conduct and respect for rules.

Speaking at well organized meeting that took place at the defense ministry headquarters in Mogadishu, the president said that formation of competent government depends on formation of advanced military with ethics.

The president has urged the army chiefs to work together and establish security measures to restore peace and stability of the horn of Africa nation which is expected to hold an election in 2016.

“We have duties to serve the public including defending our borders and maintaining security. We have also to keep in mind that our soldiers should observe code of behavior” said President Hassan.

President Hassan said that the theme of the New Year 2016 will be “Taking up the reins of the nation’s security”

He said foreign troops supporting Somalia will never remain in the country, and it is upon Somali government to build strong Army which would stand for the maintaining of national security.

The chief of the Somali armed forces Gen Mohamed Aden Ahmed has briefed the president about the security and the ongoing plans to drive Al-Shabab out of the whole country.
