Somali president: Investigations Underway to Conclusively Establish the Nature of Dallo Attack

Somali president speaking before the Federal parliament blamed the security breach at Adan Ade International Airport a combination of VIP culture and an inside job.

CCTV footage issued by the Airport Authorities showed two men handing over what appeared to be laptop used to disguise the blast to an elderlyman- wearing traditional clothes.  The man later indicated to be the suicider who blew him self up while the plane was on air.

The president called the members of Parliament to go through security searches and scans to contain further security breaches that could threat the security of passengers. Cabinet members and MPs enjoy privilege passes which give them the access of airport and other sensitive places unchecked

“ Investigations are underway, further details will be announced later. The Airport has all the necessary technologies but the question is what can you do if you have betraying hands” said the president

Twenty suspects including airport officials and members of security services have been arrested by  Somali security services in connection with attack.

Speaking to Media Somali Minister for Transport Ali Ahmed Jama Jangeli said the explosion was not the result of a technical failure but a “deliberate terror attack”.
