Somali president officially opens state formation conference in Jowhar

The President of Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has officially opened state formation conference for Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions in Jowhar today.

Delegates from the two regions are attending the conference together with ministers and MPs from federal government.
President Hassan addressing the participants during the official opening of the conference urged the public to think about the future of the people living in the two regions and take an active role to promote preaching peace.

Special security forces were deployed in Jowhar town which lies 90 Kilometers north-west of Mogadishu as the state formation conference will run three months.
