Former MP Hussein Mohamed Gaagaale has accused government soldiers in Baladweyn of torturing him badly.
Gaagaale who spoke to Goobjoog News stated that government soldiers blocked a meeting between political leaders in Baladweyn citing the order from a man identified as Mukhtar who is deputy police commissioner in the area.
“After they (soldiers) put off the meeting, the soldiers called me after declined their order the beat me up thoroughly till I passed out,” Gaagaale said.
Gaagaale stated that Al-Shabaab group is not the only group who commits crimes against humanity but the government soldiers do same.
Attempts to contact Baladweyn administration did not bear fruit and Goobjoog News cannot independently confirm the allegation made by the MP.
