Storyline:National News

Acting Director of Food Control, Mojtaba Abdulmohsen, confirmed that imported meat is subject to continuous inspection to ensure it is free of infection, stressing that imported meat from Somalia is free of Ebola, contrary to what has been posted on some social media.

He asserted that all imported meat products are subject to lab tests and any consignment incompatible with safety standards will be rejected.

He underscored Bahrain’s commitments to ban importing meat and livestock from the Ebola-affected countries, including Nigeria, Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
