Somalia’s military court vows it will take action against SNA soldiers who took part Baladweyne clashes

Somalia’s military court said it will take necessary action with anyone found to be behind the tribal conflicts that took place in Hirran region especially the armed forces.

The chairman of the court Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Mohamed Nur Shuute pointed out that the court will make further inquiries on whether government forces were involved in Beledweyne clashes.

There were allegation before that the Somali national army took part tribal conflicts; after we carried out an investigation we have concluded that the allegations were baseless.

So we urge anyone with evidence to show that any of our armed forces were part of the clashes that happened in Beledweyne to submit to the court even if it was verbal attack, he said.

meanwhile he called on those with illegal firearms in Beledweyne to hand over the weapons to the government failure to which they will face the full force of the law.
