Somaliland Health Ministry banned advertisements for Healthcare Services

Somaliland Health Ministry banned outdoor advertising for Medicine or healthcare related services if the Ministry didn’t approved.

Somaliland Salebaan Isse Hagle-Tosiye Somaliland health minister said this advertisement harmed the people of Somaliland and the Ministry won’t allow happen again.

The Minister noted that there are dubious health service provided who don’t meet the normal standards and quality checks. The ministry wishes to regulate the health industry by quality checks.

Cases of misdiagnosing, low quality or expired medicine sold openly in the market are common in whole Somalia, especially Somaliland.
