South West announces election schedule for six seats

GOOBJOOG NEWS/BAIDOA: The South West State Electoral Implementation Committee has announced the election schedule for six of the seats in the House of the People to be held in the city of Baidoa.

A statement from the committee said that training of Electoral Commissioners will begin on March 1st , while registration of candidates for the six seats will be on Tuesday, March 2.

The South West elections committee has further scheduled Wednesday, March 3 as the election date for the six seats.

Below are the seats and the present occupiers:

1. HOP275: Sheikh Sha’ir Sheikh Mohamed Hassan.

2. HOP230: Abdirahman Adan Ibrahim (IBBI).

3. HOP183: Sandheere Mohamed Iftin.

4. HOP178: Hassan Ali Mohamed Amar-dambe (former Minister of Defense).

5. HOP050: Abduwahab Ugas Hussein Ugas Khalif (Minister of Labor and Social Affairs)

6. HOP253: Samra Ibrahim Omar.
