South West announces five more seats as delayed polls resume

GOOBJOOG NEWS|BAIDOA: The South West State Electoral Implementation Committee (SEIT) has released five more seats in line with the procedures adopted at the recent National Consultative Council meeting, aimed at jumpstarting the country’s parliamentary elections.

The announcement follows the directive by the National Consultative Council on Sunday setting new timelines for the elections. The NCC, chaired by Prime Minister Mohamed Roble directed that the Lower House elections be concluded on February 25.
