The general security in Baidoa, the regional capital of Southwest state is highly tightened in line with the measures from the local security organs of thwarting impending criminal occurrences that might take place in the town.

Security officers are seen prominently in the main streets of the town doing security search on people and cars.

The local people are ordered to alight from their cars where they undergo security search as well their vehicles.

The rigid security operations in the town follows an order from Southwest officials regarding the month of Ramadan so that the locals can celebrate Eid festival in peace according to security officials in Baidoa.

This exercise is not only confined to Baidoa town but along many locations in Southwest state to ensure maximum security.
